Day Camp Information

Your child is in for a time of exciting and happy adventures. Our desire is that these experiences will lead to growth in character, skills, personality and social relationships that you as a parent can see. The goal is high! It will require these items:

  • QUALITY PROGRAMMING - An effort will be made to provide your child with planned, supervised activities which will be both varied and creative. We achieve this through utilizing horses and a ranch environment.
  • OUTSTANDING LEADERSHIP – We seek to develop a staff that is caring, providing individual attention and loving every moment spent with the campers.
  • PARENT’S COOPERATION – We can build and improve only with your help. A starting point is to read this information carefully. Then, if you have any questions don’t hesitate to call us!

We are happy to have your child in The Flying “G” Ranch Day Camp Program. We trust it will be an enjoyable time for your child … and you!

Lunch and Snacks

Please put names on all lunches.  Refrigeration is available upon request.

Drinks and snacks and ‘Lunchables’ are available to campers at our “General Store”. It is  operated on a pre-paid credit basis.  You as a parent decide how much your child may
spend for the whole camp and deposit that amount into their credit on the first day of camp ( usually $3 – $5 per day).  We then keep a card of their charges and return any left-over  balance to you on the last day of camp upon request.  Unclaimed balances are automatically  put into our scholarship fund to help needy families provide great riding experiences for their children.

Daily Activities 9-4

A variety of daily activities will help us meet our purpose of character,  personality and skill development. These activities promise to be…

  • ENJOYABLE and ENDURING (great fun that lasts)
  • CREATIVE and CHALLENGING
  • INTERESTING and FUN

Campers are all together for some activities such as Bible Studies and skits.  Most activities, though,  will find them grouped by age or riding skill and rotating from one program area to the next.  Activities range from one-half hour to one hour in length.
